The only way to do things is: one to one.
But in the serious way... Doesn't count just try to do something for days... That's not the idea.
The idea is to keep time for each task, but first you need to know the most important thing: which tasks?
One of the major problems is to know exactly what to do, and when! It's in relation with the priorities (old knowned of everyone).
It usually happens, that we are not honest when we do our TASK LIST. We don't pay enough attention to try to find the tasks. There are so many tasks that we need to do and we ignored, that normally they are the reason of the failure of our plannings. (Sounds interesting! hey?)
So, like usually... open your mind!!! Think about every small thing that you have to do, you need to do, you should do or you would like to do (because It's never the same have to, need to, should or would like to) and... Write everyone of them!
And then our loved friends the priorities. Everyone knows something about this shit of making plannings, and probably before now someone mentioned you about the tags IMPORTANT AND URGENT.
But what about these kind of tasks which are not important, and not urgent, but however you need to do it?
They are not important and not urgent tasks, but that you need to do. In this way we have a new tag: NECESSARY (or required, I don't know the diference in English language).
For example, a necessary task could be to make the Tasks' List and Planning for the next week. It's not important like work or study, and It's not exactly urgent, but you need to do it.
What is an important task?
- It's the kind of task which is essential to do. You can pospone it, but you cannot canceled. And also, important means that It needs you to pay enough attention to it, to spend the required time... slowly and with care.
What is an urgent task?
- It's which cannot be posponed. It has a deadline, close in the time, and you have to do it definitely before that date. However, it's not an important task, so probably you won't need to do it care or pay a lot of attention. That means you can choose the moment when you don't have so much energy for doing something else. But anyway, you have also to choose the moment in the planning.
And what about a necessary task?
- It's the task that we need to do it anyway. Probably you can pospone it, and probably it's not important at all, but if you do it, it will be better, and probably easier.
Of course, there will be combination's tags like important and urgent, important and necessary, urgent and necessary, etc.
So, the next step would be to determine a date and time for everyone of them, or instead to let it like "undated task". For this we should do a planning just with days of the week and space to filling with the tasks. Of course, also we will need a blank space for the undated tasks, like for example thosem we still don't know when can we do.
Then to write everytask in the day that we think is better, with specific order: first the important task, second the urgent tasks, third the necessary tasks, and finally the undated tasks.
It might be interesting if you also write next to everytask how much it takes, I mean, how much time do you will need to spend on it.
On another way I would suggest to put this planning in sight, easy to find, easy to consult, easy to modify.
The end of this planning is to be easier to focus in just some task daily, and not to have everyone of them all the time on mind.
I already made mine, don't lose the time thinking too much, ACT!
I will see how it will work the next week and I will tell how was the experience and which extra advices could I give about it.
Good bye frustation... Hello success!
